🙋‍♂️ Who am I?

I’m John A. Eastman, a tech industry strategist and investor, and a passionate knowledge-seeker. Since 2016 I’ve worked in Corporate Development & Strategy roles for consumer software companies, previously for Twitter and currently for Robinhood, driving various strategic initiatives and leading dozens of acquisitions and investments. Formally, my education centered on business and strategy, including earning an MBA from Berkeley and a CFA Charter. Informally, I spend much of my free time reading, writing, or practicing astrophotography. I live in San Francisco with my wife (and Chief Editor), Kelcie, and our dog, Martini.

⌚️ How much time does this take?

If you’re at all like me, you are busy, your inbox is cluttered, and you’re cautious about admitting another item into your content diet. That is why:

All NotSoWrong articles are readable in under 5 minutes, written in plain English.

NotSoWrong articles are delivered as a “weekly series” rather than an indefinite “franchise” newsletter. I spent almost two years writing 30 of these articles, and I will publish more, provided they meet my standards of quality and impact.

🔁 How frequently will NotSoWrong post?

It depends! Before launching NotSoWrong publicly, I spent nearly 2 years writing 30 articles to flesh out my ideas, refine my style, and build a critical mass of content. These will be sent as a weekly newsletter series. Beyond those articles, I am not committing to a set frequency of posting; rather, I’m committing to a personal standard of excellence, to passionI will only create articles for which I’m genuinely excited about busting my ass to make as valuable and relevant as I can for readers. That could mean 10 more articles, or 100. But I will be passionate about 100% of them.

💵 How much does it cost? How does NotSoWrong make money?

All NotSoWrong content is completely FREE. My primary goal is intrinsic: to learn, share, and discuss ways to be less wrong.
